Avoid spring break crowds (SoCal)

School breaks don’t align perfectly nationwide. Our model uses a practical band: ~2 weeks around Easter plus mid-March–early April — common pressure for California parks.

What the model does

During that window, daily scores get a spring-break boost on top of weekday baselines. Weekends inside the band often land Crowded or Super Crowded at Disneyland, Universal Hollywood, LEGOLAND, and similar family parks.

Tactics that match the model

  • Shift a week — if Easter is early or late, look at the calendar colors just outside the highlighted reasons on day tap.
  • Prefer Tue–Thu even inside the band; Saturdays remain the hardest tide.
  • Consider the Zoo — San Diego Zoo still rises in breaks, but weekday dampeners keep many non-holiday weekdays milder than thrill parks.
  • Compare — use Compare for the current month’s Not Crowded/A Little Crowded day counts across two parks.

Easter dates we encode

  • 2025: April 20
  • 2026: April 5
  • 2027: March 28

Always confirm your district’s actual break. Then open the destination calendar and trust the Not Crowded/A Little Crowded strip more than a single rumor week.
